To find your size, use a tape measure around your waist at the level of your belly button. Measurements below are in inches. Due to the compression in our leggings and the secure drawstring waistband, if you are looking for a more relaxed fit, we suggest sizing up. (ex. if you are a true to size small you will have a snug compressive fit which is what we recommend for running in).

I have 4 pairs of these 5" high-rise shorts and another pair on the way! They are the best to run in because they actually stay up (!!!), have pockets for your phone and keys, don't chafe, don't show sweat, and are just so darn cute. I love all of the products I've bought from Hey Girl Run and Michelle's philosophy about running! The best company ever and the only running gear I will ever buy 💓🩷.

HGR shorts are the only ones I wear now: they are excellent for lounging/walking as well as running (I ran a marathon in these and they did not move). I find them to run slightly small so I size up and they still have good compression. Pockets are deep and actually usable.

Love these shorts! The compression is nice, and I like the length. Wore this for a 20 miler and they didn't ride up, zero to little sweat marks, and made me visible while running in the city (very important!)
These would get a 5 star but I did find the waistband was uncomfortable for my long runs - the stitching/waist seam doesn't seem to have any spandex or stretch and dug into my skin. When I put them on - I can hear the stitches breaking. (Same issue with the bras.) I do have bigger legs and hips and a small waist so this happens with some other brands too. That being said, this is minor detail!
Can't wait to wear them on some of my shorter runs!
