Purple 5" short with pockets on both legs (double pocket on the right leg, single pocket on the left leg). They will never ride up and will always stay in place. Made specifically for runners.
Fabric: HGR-form
Our best-selling and most compressive fabric that is also quick drying and won't show sweat [even on the light colors].

To find your size, use a tape measure around your waist at the level of your belly button. Measurements below are in inches. Due to the compression in our shorts and the secure drawstring waistband, if you are looking for a less compressive fit, we suggest sizing up. (ex. if you are a true to size small you will have a snug compressive fit which is what we recommend for running in).

Hey Girl Run is so much more than just amazing run sets. Michelle and this small business truly care about their customers as whole people, and it shows.
I found Hey Girl Run back in 2023 during a time when I was struggling to reconnect with running and with myself. Their clothes—especially the shorts—helped me rediscover that love and feel confident again.
Last year, after going through a miscarriage, my body changed in ways I wasn’t prepared for. I grew out of my shorts, then back into them, and it was an emotional journey. When I reached out about sizing, Michelle was incredibly kind and responsive—and even sent me a smaller size in a pair I could no longer wear.

From the second I did a run in these, they were my #1 running shorts. I ran my first full marathon in them and they were fantastic. Great pockets, NO RIDING UP, no chafing areas. I’m 5’3, 135 lb, got a size medium and they’re the right fit for me. ORDER THEM, you won’t regret it.

I absolutely love these shorts and want a pair in every color now. They're a really comfortable material, and the pockets on both sides are really nice. I wear a 6 in Lululemon and got a size medium in these, which I thought fit perfectly for me. I am an extreme sweater and these did show a little crotch sweat after my run, but not nearly as bad or noticeable as it's been in other shorts I own in lighter colors.

These shorts have officially ruined every other pair in my drawer. They’re buttery-soft, stay put through sprints and heavy squats—no sliding, no riding up—and the three oversized pockets swallow my phone, gels, and keys without bouncing. I already want them in every color they make.

Pros: ultra lavender is a cute light purple color, great feel and fit, no sweat showing or sweat stains, very comfortable, no chafing, doesn't ride up the thighs at all
Cons: the waist rolls down sometimes when I'm sitting and the biggest issue to me is that the pockets are too long. Since the pocket goes all the way down to the bottom of the short, my phone sits basically just above my knee in the pocket (I'm 5'2'' / 157.5cm in height) instead of mid-thigh like most shorts do, and it's a very awkward placement when I'm running
Overall, would recommend but if you're shorter, keep in mind that the pocket goes all the way to the bottom-most seam of the short and carrying things like your phone, gels, etc. in the pockets can feel a little clunky
